Carolin Rechberg fuses sense and thought to arrest moments, to reflect upon the complexity of existence. Through artistic process and interdisciplinary sensibility, she incorporates both space, time and objects to express the material and numinous world, as experienced through consciousness.
She allows intuitive intelligence and intellectual intent to dominate as motive and context in her work. Primarily being a performance artist she creates to craft and grow a heightened awareness of presence, through the mediums of; drawing, dance, installation, painting, painting performance, performance, printmaking, sculpture, textiles and writing.
With the assemblage of new and recycled material, her work is emblematic and an echo addressing the appreciation for the the historic and residual in dialogue with the contemporary moment.
